Cheng Shi

Cheng is currently involving in the TIP-CARD project and other studies in the research team. Her recent work covers a study on costs of dementia in Hong Kong and a systematic review and meta-analysis on the effectiveness of dementia interventions in Chinese communities. She also investigates how social policy on ageing can address the increasing care needs and its impacts on intergenerational relationships, as well as the relationships between formal care and informal care. Her research experiences focus on the long-term care system in China and the international comparison of long-term care policy in different welfare regimes.
David Dai
TIP-CARD Co-Principal investigator - Vice-Chairman (External Affairs) of Executive Committee & Chairman of Advisory Committee of Institute of Alzheimer's Education, Hong Kong Alzheimer's Disease Association, Hong Kong SAR
Dr Dai has specialized in geriatric, rehabilitation and pulmonary medicine. He was a member of several Hong Kong Government Labour and Welfare Bureau steering committees and working groups studying issues relating to community care and residential care services for the elderly. Before retirement from the Hospital Authority, Dr Dai was consultant geriatrician at Prince of Wales Hospital and led the complaint management unit. After retirement, he has joined Qualigenics as the Clinical Director for Healthcare for the Senior.
Doris Yu
TIP-CARD Co-Principal investigator - Professor, School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Professor Yu’s research focuses on gerontology and long-term care. The ever-escalating burden of disease and disability associated with the rapid aging drives her research work. She has obtained external competitive research grants including the General Research Fund, the Health and Medical Research Fund, and the Research Impact Fund for studies on prevalent elderly issues including geriatric symptom management, disease management models for heart failure, brain health promotion, and strength-based care models on dementia care and caregiving.
Gloria Wong
TIP-CARD Project Coordinator - Associate Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Dr Wong’s work covers three main areas: care innovations for people with severe mental illness; advancing support for people with neurocognitive disorders; and novel strategies in mental health prevention through big data research in mental wellness programmes for youths and older people.
Hao Luo
TIP-CARD Co-Principal investigator - Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration & Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Dr Luo’s research focuses on big data analytics in health and mental health with the overarching goal to apply advanced statistical modeling techniques to improve health policy and solve social challenges. Over the years, she has shifted her focus to applied quantitative studies that can assist evidence-based policy making. She has participated in projects on topics like long-term care policy, social work, chronic illness and frailty, in both mainland China and Hong Kong.
Jacky Choy

Jacky is currently involving in the TIP-CARD project and other dementia studies in the research team. He is interested in understanding family care provided by multiple family members and other informal carers as well as ways for improving wellbeing of caregiving family as a holistic unit. He is also coordinating knowledge exchange activities such as the Certified Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Practitioner Training Course in collaboration with the International CST Centre of University College London. Over the past few years, Jacky has been working on mixed methods programme evaluation research in relation to long-term care policy and dementia care service in Hong Kong.
Jennifer Tang

Dr Tang’s research focuses on Cognitive Psychology, Educational Psychology, Cognitive Science, Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychiatry, Nutritional Biochemistry, Psychosomatic and Medicine Epidemiology.
Kayla Wong

Maggie Yeung

Maggie is currently involving in the TIP-CARD project and other dementia studies in the research team. She is a MPhil graduate specialized in Sociology and research interest in gender and ageing, feminist and queer studies.
Terry Lum
TIP-CARD Co-Principal investigator - Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Professor Lum is the Henry G. Leong Professor in Social Work and Social Administration. His research interests focus on long-term care, productive aging, environmental gerontology, and geriatric mental health. He is an advisor to the Hong Kong Government on long-term care and has led the development of new assessment instruments and services matching mechanisms for long-term care in Hong Kong. He also advised the Hong Kong Housing Society to develop its aging-in-place program for older people living in public rental estates.
Yueqin Huang
TIP-CARD Co-Principal investigator - Professor, Institute of Mental Health, Peking University, Hong Kong SAR
Professor Huang is the vice-president of China Disabled Persons’ Federation and the president of Society of Crisis Intervention of Chinese Association of Mental Health. She also works as the president of Chinese Mental Health Journal. She is the international member of American Psychiatric Association and fellow of World Academy of Art and Science.
