The Mexican Federation of Alzheimer’s (FEDMA) was founded in 2002 in Mexico City. It is a non-profit civil society organization made of support groups and Alzheimer’s organizations nationwide. The main purpose of FEDMA is to provide information, education and support to its associates, health professionals, institutions, family members, caregivers and people living with Alzheimer’s disease or similar disorders. FEDMA has also an important role in creating public awareness about mental health, as well as in producing plans, programmes and public policies. FEDMA is affiliated with international associations such as Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) and Alzheimer’s Latin America (AIB).
