Cheng is currently involving in the TIP-CARD project and other studies in the research team. Her recent work covers a study on costs of dementia in Hong Kong and a systematic review and meta-analysis on the effectiveness of dementia interventions in Chinese communities. She also investigates how social policy on ageing can address the increasing care needs and its impacts on intergenerational relationships, as well as the relationships between formal care and informal care. Her research experiences focus on the long-term care system in China and the international comparison of long-term care policy in different welfare regimes.
