PERDOSSI’s national clinical guideline takes into account the family members’ description of symptoms of the person suspected with dementia (PERDOSSI, 2015). The clinical guideline also considers family history of dementia in screening and diagnosing possible people with dementia. However, in the current national action plan for dementia, caregivers are not recognised at diagnosis stage (Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia, 2015b).
